Jawaban :
1. Mengapa level pengambil keputusan membutuhkan knowledge?
Manajemen membutuhkan informasi sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan mereka. Sistem informasi mempunyai peranan yang penting dalam menyediakan informasi untuk manajemen setiap tingkatan. Tiap-tiap kegiatan dan keputusan manajemen yang berbeda membutuhkan informasi yang berbeda. Oleh karena itu untuk dapat menyediakan informasi yang relevan dan berguna bagi manajemen, maka pengembang system informasi harus memahami terlebih dahulu kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh manajemen dan tipe keputusannya.
2. Pelajari mini case 1, mini case 2 dan mini case 3

3. Buat summary dari setiap mini case (buat dalam point-point)
a.) Mini case 1
tidak adanya toleransi dari masing-masing kebudayaan dan masing-masing hanya melakukannya dengan kebiasaan masing-masing. Solusinya adalah toleransi antara 2 kebudayaan tersebut dan belajar untuk bekerjasama.
b.) Mini case 2
terjadinya sebuah misskomunikasi antara pelanggan dengan pelayan hotel, karena pelayan mengikti kata manager. Solusinya adalah perintah dari pelanggan langsung disampaikan kepada manager agar tidak terjadi kesalahan dalam menjalankan perintah.
c.) Mini case 3
tidak adanya keputusan yang diambil. Solusinya adalah kerjasama tim agar tidak ada miscommunication serta pengambilan keputusan dari masalah yang terjadi selama ini dan memuaskan pelanggan agar tidak terulang kembali kegagalan itu.
Essay:
1. Bagaimana sebuah knowledge dapat meningkatkan “goodwill” perusahaan?
2. Apa yang dimaksud dengan intellectual asset?
3. Jelaskan mengapa knowledge semakin dibutuhkan?
4. Jelaskan yang dimaksud dengan organizational learning!
5. Sebutkan keuntungan yang diperoleh pada peningkatan pelayanan dengan adanya tambahan knowledge.
Jawaban
Goodwill dalam bahasa Indonesia dapat diartikan sebagai kebaikan. Sebuah knowledge dapat meningkatkan kebaikan suatu perusahaan adalah dengan:
a.) Membuat keuntungan perusahaan meningkat dengan adanya knowledge untuk mendapatkan hal tersebut.
b.) Memelihara asset perusahaan dengan knowledge yang berkaitan dengan hal tersebut
c.) Menjaga hubungan perusahaan dengan perusahaan lain dengan knowledge di bidang hubungan (relationship)
d.) Menjaga stabilitas harga saham perusahaan agar tidak jatuh dan menjadi bangkrut dengan knowledge di bidang ekonomi yang baik.
e.) Menjaga hubungan baik perusahaan dengan masyarakat sekitar
Manusia yang memiliki modal intelektual dalam suatu organisasi atau masyarakat.
Knowledge (Ilmu Pengetahuan) semakin dibuktuhkan karena beberapa hal yakni:
a.) Ilmu pengetahuan adalah kunci untuk segala sesuatu
b.) Ilmu pengetahuan adalah syarat mutlak untuk melakukan suatu hal.
c.) Ilmu pengetahuan membuka pintu untuk hidup yang lebih baik.
d.) Ilmu Pengetahuan membantu seserang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya.
e.) Ilmu pengetahuan yang baik dan bermanfaatlah yang dapat memenuhi poin poin diatas.
area pengetahuan dalam teori organisasi yang mempelajari model dan teori tentang cara organisasi belajar dan beradaptasi.
Keuntungan yang diperoleh pada peningkatan pelayanan dengan adanya tambahan knowledge:
a.) Menaikan nilai suatu produk atau Jasa.
b.) Menjadikan sesuatu yang kurang special menjadi special atau luar biasa
c.) Memberikan kenyamanan yang lebih kepada pelanggan dalam pelayanan perusahaan.
d.) Menambah asset
e.) Membuat pelanggan ingin kembali lagi karena pelayanan yang memuaskan
